Coventry Children's Home

A substantial 4 bedded unit is provided in a modern (2003) attractive house close to the centre of Coventry, Warwickshire, in its popular East side. The home is close to local shopping centres, leisure facilities and local transport routes to the town centre and Birmingham.

The unit is staffed and equipped to provide medium and long term care for children and young people between the ages of 10 and 18 who have a moderate to severe learning difficulties.

The accommodation comprises of four large bedrooms of which two are on the ground floor and are suitable for those with some additional needs. The two upstairs are for those with greater mobility.

All the bedrooms allow adequate space for private activities and the storage of personal possessions and favourite toys/equipment. (Each young person has a lockable storage chest for treasured items).

Upstairs also has a Quiet room for reading or music and for privacy with visitors. There is also a large galleried landing suitable as a play area.

Downstairs there is a very large kitchen with an open dining and sitting area, a bathroom and toilet facilities, a large family room and utility area. All downstairs rooms are accessible for people with disabilities.

Both the lounge and the kitchen lead out to a patio area and large enclosed garden offering space for games and other leisure activities.
